| Where She Can Find A Better and Safe Place to Live? |
If someone asked me about women status in India, than I will
feel ashamed being an Indian As recent study shows that India being standing at
number 3 in total number of rape cases registered. As far as I think there are
so many cases which remain unregistered, So it’s not a good indication in
respect to where we are moving. A data shows that since 1971 there is a rise of
678%in rape cases. And we thought we are advancing in improving women status in
society although it has been declined day by day. Government fails to bring a
strong law to make women feel safe in society. A person did a crime at 17 but
our law could not give him the deserving punishment as he is not adult. What
the hell, he did a crime with all power of thinking about good or bad. It
brings the feeling how helpless our system is?
But really? Our system and government can’t help? False it can, if Govt really has strong will to give justice. But the whole story is that it can harm their political career. Poor politics is the root cause of weak system and there must be some revolution to change things around. A small image of such revolution was seen in December 2012 when youth was charge up to bring justice for a woman who was raped so badly that humanity feels ashamed of it. No one can even imagine of such a incident before. People shows anger on roads, Media charged up and cover the story as it was the big mode to increase their channel rating. But what was the result in last? Still in 2013 so many cases registered in India. Number shows that the number has been increased instead of being decreasing. So it is really sad that People is not giving much attention over this issue.
Apart from rape there are other issues also which should be control to improve women status in India, Dowry deaths, molestations, acid attacks are such issues over which a woman always feels insecure. Data shows that there has been rise of 6.5% in 2012 with previous year in such cases; government says that Capital City has highest number of cases. Where our society has been going? We have to give a thought over it. Society will not improve only by enlightening candles and rallies, it will change with individual efforts and with the feeling we have to help each and every person. Police should given more power which they should utilize in the right way. I think with such efforts we can help women to improve their status in society.
I am not saying that conditions can turned around in a second
but with some collaborative efforts we can improve our society. In all I will
say Improve your vision and your thinking, conditions will definitely improved
and we can give a better and safe place to live to women. Don’t forget that
Women is a cause for our existence and deserve the right to be respected more
than any other creature in the world.
